Women’s Empowerment and Early Education Project, Beirut Refugee Camp

This project seeks to advance gender equality and improve educational outcomes for vulnerable and special needs children in Beirut’s refugee camps. Focused on empowering women and their families through educational initiatives and skills development, the project encompasses a range of programs, including an Early Education Centre in Bourj el-Barajneh camp for children aged two months to five years, parenting workshops to enhance skills and understanding of child development, community education to raise awareness on crucial issues like women’s empowerment and early marriage, and specific efforts for children with disabilities. Additionally, it offers psychological and social support services, staff skill enhancement, and a sports project designed to develop children’s sports skills in a safe environment. This holistic approach aims not only to educate but also to foster a supportive community for sustainable futures.
